Online Meeting of ANR-Blade Group:  18-20 November, 2020.

Postdoc fellowships in Paris

BLADE-ANR Project : Postdoc fellowships A post-doctoral position at Université de Paris will be available in the framework of the research project: ANR JCJC: Bords Libres et Analyse Des EDP/Free Boundary and PDE Analysis.  The goal of the project is to study problems in Geometric Analysis involving some asymptotic analysis. Here is a (non exhaustive) list of the BLADE project topics: harmonic maps, minimal surfaces, Constant Mean Curvature surfaces, Willmore surfaces and the free boundary versions of these problems. We are also interested in the following topics: Yamabe equation, Einstein constrained equation, Moser-Trudinger equations, phase transitions theory (Landau-de-Gennes theory in liquid crystals, Ginzburg-Landau theory in superconductivity,...). The team is composed of : Paul Laurain  ( Paris 7 ), coordinator. Romain Petrides  ( Paris 7 ), member. Pierre-Damien Thizy   ( Lyon 1 ), member. Xavier Lamy  (Toulouse), member. The ANR BLADE is happy to announce the two days conference Advances in Geometric Analysis, Paris, December 5-6th. This will be the occasion to have lecture from some of the leading experts of the field but also young promising researchers.
We organize a 3 day workshop on mathematical general relativity in Lyon , 15-17 Avril 2019!!! Mathematical general relativity merges together active areas of research in partial differential equations, differential geometry and geometric analysis. One century after its appearance, a number of fundamental mathematical questions concerning general relativity remain unanswered. Their future resolution will be of great interest both in developing new mathematical tools, at the crossroads of  Mathematical physics and geometric analysis, and in understanding the applicability and limitations of the theory. This workshop aims at providing an opportunity for researchers to gather in Lyon to report on the most recent advances in the field.

Let's go!!!

Let's go. The ANR BLADE is very happy to announce the first event it co-organizes with   University Paris Créteil Val de Marne . We will have a nice Workshop in December at IHP : Workshop in Geometric Analysis, Paris, December 17-19. There will be notably a mini-courses of Antoine Song about his recent proof of the Yau conjecture. There is some funding available for student and post/doc, register asap if you want to be eligible.
This blog will be dedicated to the project BLADE funded by the ANR . The goal of the project is to study problems in Geometric Analysis, ranging e.g. from harmonic maps theory and its generalizations to prescribed curvature problems. Indeed those problems share strong, common features: conformal invariance properties, existence of conservation laws, min-max phenomena... The systematic development of asymptotic analysis techniques, in recent years, has led to spectacular results in Geometric Analysis and to a better comprehension of the underlying analytical structures at work. This project aims at bringing together promising young researchers with a solid background in complementary areas of Asymptotic and Geometric Analysis, to share their expertise. The team is composed of : Paul Laurain  ( Paris 7 ), coordinator. Romain Petrides  ( Paris 7 ), member. Nicolas Marque (Paris 7), PhD Student. Pierre-Damien Thizy  ( Lyon 1 ), member. Xavier Lamy  (Toulouse), member.
